Daniel Radcliffe cries at last Harry Potter scene

DANIEL RADCLIFFE has admitted he cried when he filmed the last ever scene for a Harry Potter film.

"We were all really devastated," said Radcliffe.

"It was really very sad, a weird, weird feeling. We were crying quite a lot."

Even though the boy-wizard's waterworks show that the last scene in the series is now in the can, there are still two more films to be released.

That's because the last volume in the seven book series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was such a doorstopper that when it came to the film, they had to split it into two, or else we'd have been stuck in the cinema for six hours.

Part one of HPATDH comes out in London on 19 November with part two in cinemas by July 2010.

The last scenes of the final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, have been shot. Warwick Davis, who plays Professor Flitwick and the goblin Griphook, wrote on his Twitter feed.

“The end of an era - today is officially the last day of principal photography on Harry Potter - ever. I feel honoured to be here as the director shouts cut for the very last time. Farewell Harry & Hogwarts, it's been magic! x ...and goodbye Griphook!”

The Harry Potter films, which began with 2001's Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, are the highest grossing film series of all time, making an average of £600 million per film.

We've been openly speculating about it for far too long: How will the minds behind "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" shoot the story's epilogue, which picks up almost two decades in the future? Would director David Yates and his team hire older actors to stand in for Daniel Radcliffe and the rest of the cast or would he employ special effects to age the familiar "Potter" faces?

Now we know for sure. Speaking with MTV News, co-star Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) revealed that he and the rest of the cast will play older versions of their characters. What's more — achieving those looks will require a mix of prosthetics and CGI technology.

Prepare For A Violent Harry Potter 7

n a difficult-to-hear interview at the Leeds Film Festival, Matthew Lewis (who plays Neville Longbottom in the film) admitted that the final chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be much more violent than the previous six.

When asked how different the upcoming film is, Lewis said, “it’s not like the previous ones. The previous ones all had a formula. You go to school, bad things happen, he sorts it out, job’s good and that’s the ending. But in this year it’s all completely different. They’re not in the school for a start and, literally, it’s such an epic battle. It’s like something from the Lord of the Rings… It’s bloody and it’s gory and it’s very real.”

Heaven for Harry Potter Fans.

Picking a favourite item from the myriad movie artifacts in the new Harry Potter exhibit at Toronto’s Ontario Science Centre is difficult, even for an actor in the series. James Phelps, who plays the mischievous Fred Weasley, paused for a while before deciding on the Gryffindor displays near the beginning of the exhibit, “mainly because it has the Marauder’s Map, which was a big part of Fred and George’s influence in the movie when they gave it to Harry.” Then he mentions the tiny four-poster beds used by Harry Potter and best friend Ron Weasley in the first few films. “See how small Ron and Harry were,” he comments. “They couldn’t get in them now.”
